The game is further handicapped with the implementation of Denuvo.

There does appear to be a CPU Bottleneck. I would recommend you'd want 8gb of VRAM and you could get by with 16gb of RAM but 32gb of RAM is probably preferable. Recommended are a GPU with 4gb of Vram and it's recommended to have 16gb of RAM. On PC? The system requirements are fairly steep. I am not talking about any kind of manufactured controversy being it's problem. I have had a chance to play it for myself on PC and while I do agree that it's a game that will delight fans of the IP with it's attention to detail and authenticity? It's a game not without problems. Despite that? The game has garnered praise for it's ambition and attention to detail. Even without it though, the game wasn't going to not sell.Ĭertain outlets refused to even cover the game or wrote articles purporting to be a review but never talked about the game.(Wired's 1/10) being a prime example.

And yes I think part of it can also be attributed to the streisand effect drawing more attention to it. It makes sense considering the brand recognition that the Harry Potter IP has. The game has already outpaced Elden Ring's sales by 56% digitally across Europe. Hogwarts Legacy represents one of the biggest launches in recent memory.
